More details will be on the website in November on how to continue your support for the children. We will give you regular updates on the children settling in and ask for your continued prayer. THANK YOU
BREAKING NEWS!! After 18 months of waiting we finally have been granted the government license to welcome children into the safe, nurturing home of Luhuvilo. We have been granted approval for forty children aged 0 to 6 years of age and ten 7 to 17 years of age. Sister Vumilia and Sister Merina are busy preparing for the children's arrival. Rev'd Nicky and Trustee David will be spending a month at Luhuvilo in October to help with the arrival of the children. The charity will continue to support Luhuvilo and ensure safeguarding of the children alongside the authorities and sisters of St Mary's. It has been a long journey to get to this point and we thank all who have given time, money and prayer to help.
Luhuvilo is Kibeni for the word hope. The tree has been used throughout the centuries as a symbol of life and knowledge. Our logo represents the orphanage as a home of sanctuary for children, little souls that need life and knowledge to grow.
Lord, I pray for The House of Luhuvilo. May it be place of sanctuary and love. May children’s dreams be renewed through nurture, education and belonging. I lift to you all vulnerable, lost children and pray that they find safety and comfort and grow into children of hope and faith.
In Jesus name.
Amen.
