The journey to starting the charity began when I was 16 years old but some 34 years later God finally prepared and lead me to Njombe- the journey has been long and continues to be challenging, we have though grown strong as a team in the charity of The House of Luhuvilo and are confident that the beautiful children that find their way to their new home will receive a loving, safe environment, education and spiritual care to grow to their full potential.
My work in Africa began with taking students to Mpwapwa over five years it was here the need for children’s care and education lead me to Njombe. I am is currently working as College Chaplain at Bacon’s College, London.

Hello All, my name is Donna, a teacher, mother, sister and aunt.
My philosophy is based on the simple principles of life- love, happiness and giving. I strongly believe our world would be such a beautiful place if we understand and lived by these principles.
I have decided to take on the humble role of trustee in the charity, because I understand the importance of reaching out to our fellow humans who are currently in a less favourable position than us. Jesus in his mission on earth reminded us how important it is to love our neighbour. It is a pleasure to be part of this noble charity.
Hello my name is Lynette, I am a teacher, scientist and gardener. I whole heartedly believe that all children have the right to be loved, cared for and given the opportunity to thrive. Children are the most important and precious resource that we have and that is why I have joined Luhuvilo. It will give me the chance to be part of an enterprise that will allow the most vulnerable children a chance to shine.
I am passionate about children’s rights, the natural world and knowledge and so I feel blessed to be able to dedicate my time and talents to Luhuvilo.
